eBay Stunning, Vintage Schumann «Empress Dresden Flowers» 3 Piece Coffee Set. This pattern was made between 1945 to 1949. It belonged to my grandparents and was displayed in their home for years. It was hardly used as my grandmother did not want anyone touching her things. It was made in Germany and is fully marked on the reverse along with the importer’s name which is Ebeling & Reuss or E & R gold crown mark. The set includes the lovely coffee pot with lid, creamer and sugar bowl with lid. The coffee pot is a nice size with lovely flowers on white porcelain. A flower motif on the front and back is similar but one side has a bit more flowers than the other. Heavy embossed design around the neck towards the top of the coffee pot. Lovely design on the handle that is white with gold trim. The sprout is white with raised gold design and a pretty flower at the bottom of the sprout. The finial on the top is a flower with heavy flower motif. The top of the coffee pot has a scalloped rim. The inside of the coffee pot is white. The set was hardly used and is in quite nice shape. There are no chips, cracks or stains on the inside. Because of age, there is a little gold wear which is quite common. The coffee pot measures 9″ to the tip of the finial. The spam from the tip of the sprout to the tip of the handle is about 8″. The opening at the top is about 2 1/4″. The body at the widest part is about 5″. I have seen quite a few of these coffee pots on the internet that are 9.5″ high making me believe mine is not as common. The matching creamer has the same motif as the coffee pot and is marked the same as the coffee pot on the reverse. Measures about 3 1/8″ high by 3″ from the tip of the sprout to the tip of the handle. The opening is about 2″. The matching sugar bowl has a lid and is in the same pattern. Same mark on the reverse as the other pieces. measures with the lid on about 4″ or just shy of 4″. The width is about 3″ and the opening at the top is about 1 1/2″ wide. None of the pieces have any damage or stains. This set is over 70 years old and although not used much, it has been displayed and may have a little gold loss here and there. Please have a look at the matching cups, plates etc that are also listed for sale in different listings. Gorgeous set whether for use or display. Please have a look at the matching full size coffee/tea cups with saucers and the Demitasse cups with saucers. Shipping via Fedex or UPS as it is quite heavy. It will be insured on me for safety although it will be packed very well before it leaves my home. Combined shipping is welcome. Most of my items are vintage in nature and I have had for years. I ship priority to get the insurance and if it is not enough, I will pay for the additional insurance if needed.
